It was developed by the Guided Weapons Program for Small Ships in 1960, and made its debut in 1973. Nine years later, seven aircraft were shot down in the Falklands War. The GWS-25 Sea Wolf is an individual ship air defense missile with a guidance system called CLOS, developed by the missile division of BAe in 1967. The first test shot was made in 1973, and it’s been in production since 1979.
