The PKP is also called Pecheneg; it appeared in the 2000s as an advanced version of the Soviet machine gun PKM. Unlike traditional PK machine guns, which allow you to replace the overheated barrel in combat with fully automatic shooting, this model does not allow that. By adding a barrel-cooling function to the firing, it’s difficult to overheat in the first place. As a result, the PKP is said to be capable of firing as many as 600 shots. It doesn’t require a long, heavy spare barrel, and follows the lightweight design inherited from the PK series, so it’s a very useful light machine gun for special forces that require both mobility and firepower. The bipod and feed cover of this Little Armory version of the PKP can be opened and closed; a box for 100 additional bullets and a belt link with a starter tab are included.
